Body pulled from Lake Eustis believed to be missing swimmer

Authorities on Monday afternoon recovered a body from Lake Eustis which meets the description of a boater missing since Saturday.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says the unidentified man and a woman were boating on the lake Saturday afternoon when the two decided to jump off the vessel to take a swim.

Officials say the boat was not anchored and started to drift.  Authorities say the woman made it back to the boat, but the man never resurfaced and is still missing.

Crews spent Sunday searching the water.  At approximately 4 p.m. on Monday, a body was pulled from the lake.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family tonight, as they move forward with their healing," said FWC spokesman Greg Workman.
