Men rob elderly woman after crawling through her doggy door

A 91-year-old woman is recovering after she was robbed at gunpoint at her Phoenix home.
Officer James Holmes with the Phoenix Police Department tells us that two men broke into the woman’s home, located near 39th Avenue and Glendale Avenue, by entering through her doggy door.
The men then held the woman at gunpoint and stole money and other property before taking off in her vehicle, a 2006 Honda Civic.

The victim did not want to be identified but spoke to FOX 10, she says she was not scared.

"Why should I be, I am 91-years-old, I said go ahead and shoot me, I don't care," said the victim.
Responding officers quickly spotted the victim’s car, which prompted the suspects, two 20-year-old men, to get out and flee on foot.

As the men left she gave them some words of wisdom.

"I said are you ashamed of yourself, he said no, and I said well you should be, you should get a job and earn a living like the rest of us do," said the victim.
Police took both men into custody soon after.  Police have identified the suspects as Tyrell Jones and Taquin Buie, both 20-years-old. Fortunately, the woman was not injured.
"Absolutely superb police department, they got all my equipment back, they hooked up my TV again," she said.
The two men will be booked on burglary and auto theft charges.
