Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire in a quiet DeBary neighborhood on Monday night. Some residents said they saw a blue flash coming from the power lines and heading into the attic of a home on Lake Drive, just before a fire started.  Others heard an explosion as the windows blew out.

Friends say two women who live in the house were in their own bedrooms when the fire started.   One was taken to a hospital with third-degree burns on her hands and face. The other woman in the home was not hurt.

"I jumped up, and all I seen was orange flames everywhere," said next-door neighbor Robert Boyd.  "I was like, 'We gotta get outta here!'"

Boyd got his ailing mother out of the home and to safety, as firefighters worked the fire and sprayed his house with water, to keep it from catching fire. "I mean, it was bad.  So, like I say, I'm glad they're all ok. I hope the girl in the hospital is alright."

A couple staying in an RV in the back yard was not hurt. The Orange City Fire Marshal is investigating. They are looking for any witnesses who saw anything before the fire broke out. if you have any information call the Orange City Fire Marshal.
