Woman found severely burned and unconscious

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - An woman was found in an Orange County apartment complex parking lot, with burns all over her body and not breathing.  Deputies were called to Winter Park Woods, at 1607 Scottsdale Square, at around 3 p.m. and discovered the woman severely injured. and unconscious. 

Deputies said witnesses saw that the woman's head and upper body were on fire. No one saw how the fire started; however, a lawn maintenance worker spotted her and was able to put out the fire with a bucket of water while another person assisted with a fire extinguisher.  Beside the woman's body were a pile of charred clothes and a gas can. 

"There was a smoldering pile on the ground, saw a hand sticking out and realized at that point it was a body. She wasn't moving, everything was burned up," one witness told FOX 35. 

The victim was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with severe burns.  Investigators are on scene and working with the State Fire Marshal in this ongoing investigation.
