Wild hogs make mess near hospital

MELBOURNE, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Some Space Coast communities are becoming the 'Planet of the Pigs.'  Most recently, a herd has been rampaging around the grounds near Melbourne Regional.

“We just want people to be careful driving through here, until we can get it under control,” said James Dean, the wildlife trapper Brevard County residents are getting more and more used to seeing.

On Thursday night, one of the dogs that James uses to track the pigs was injured by one of the animals.And the reason why the wild hog action is on fire, Dean says, it’s the season.

“We’re in baby season right now, so babies are exploding everywhere,” Dean said.
