LAKE MARY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Lake Mary Police Department reports that the Wendy's on Flagg Lane in Lake Mary was robbed at gunpoint.
They went on to say that officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Wendy's around 1:26 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers say they met with three employees, who were closing the restaurant when the robbery took place. One employee told officers that he walked outside to empty the grease container when he was approached by two men. One of them displayed a handgun and instructed the employee to return into the restaurant.
The employee continued to tell the officer that the suspects followed the employee inside and into the office area, where the other two employees were working. Once inside the office, the suspects ordered the employees to give them money from the safe.
The suspects are said to have left the area by unknown means with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police say that the employees say the suspects wore hooded sweatshirts with what seemed to be t-shirts over their faces, in an attempt to conceal their identity.
