UCF student has guns taken away after concerning comments

Florida's new gun control legislation is being used here in Central Florida. An Orlando man was stripped of his guns in the wake of what happened in Parkland.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that a UCF student, Chris Velasquez, made violent comments and said that he craved the adrenaline rush of carrying out a mass shooting.

The Orlando Sentinel also reports that the police are banning him from owning any weapons or ammunition. Florida law allows guns to be seized from those who have been deemed mentally ill or could be a threat to themselves or others.
