Tourists robbed at gunpoint in Orlando

Deputies on Friday searched for the two guys who robbed three people at gunpoint in one of Orange County's  tourist districts.  It happened as they walked along a sidewalk close to the Convention Center.
Orange County sheriff's deputies say the three European tourists were on Westwood Drive near International Drive at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday.  They had just finished dinner and were heading back to a hotel. Two women and one man heard a woman calling for help, claiming the voice was coming from a wooded area. When they got closer to investigate, that's when two men jumped them and robbed them at gunpoint.
Other visitors in the area are worried.  Christina Martinez says, "Kind of scary, but in the world we live in today, you never know."
Cherie Johnston says she'll be more alert, adding,"That's ridiculous, it's such a short distance between here and the hotels too. That's horrible. It's very dark, I didn't try to venture out to explore at all in the evening because it seemed so dark and my daughter said she had to walk through a swampy area between the two hotels that we were visiting, because it's under construction and the sidewalks are gone."
Deputies say the victims are shaken, but doing ok. If you know who the two guys are, call the Orange County Sheriff's Office or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
