Titusville firefighters strive for excellence, complete mayday excercise

TITUSVILLE, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Residents in Titusville can breathe a little easier after fire officials completed a, “Real life” training exercise Sunday morning.

Titusville Fire and Emergency along with the Rapid Intervention Crew Training team, were called to conduct an emergency rescue for a trapped firefighter. The RIC responded under zero visibility conditions and were able to successfully locate the downed firefighter.

Officials immediately provided oxygen to the officer and safely remove them from the building.

The Titusville Fire Department credits communication and teamwork for the success of this drill.
