DELAND, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Two DeLand Middle School students were arrested Monday afternoon afternoon after police determined they made threats against the school, reports the DeLand Police Department.
The male juveniles have been reportedly charged with making a false report concerning planting a bomb, an explosive, or weapon of mass destruction, or concerning the use of firearms in a violent manner.
Authorities say the two made phone calls to 9-1-1 saying they were going to shoot up the school and had a bomb.
Police reportedly responded shortly after noon Monday to the school after a threat was made.
They say that nobody was injured.
