Thanks to MagicBand, Disney's "small world" ride has personalized goodbye

One of Walt Disney World's most iconic attractions will now become personalized. The "It's a small world" ride at Magic Kingdom will have the guests' names appear at the end of the ride.

The final scene of the attraction has signs of different languages saying the phrase "good-bye". Accompanied by the signs are three digital screens built into the display and those will now feature the names of the people in the boats.

This special effect is triggered by a guest's MagicBand.  According to the Walt Disney World website a MagicBand is a colorful wristband that acts as your all-in-one device that effortlessly connects you to all the vacation choices you make with the "My Disney Experience." Your MagicBand enables you to travel lighter throughout your vacation. Use it to enter the parks, unlock your Disney Resort hotel room and buy food and merchandise.

MagicBand bracelets were introduced back in 2013 and are primarily used as theme-park tickets that can serve multiple, convenient, purposes, which now includes this fun feature on the "small world" ride.
