WINTER PARK, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A Winter Park teenager who is a suspect in the October 2016 beating death of Roger Trindade has been arrested again.
Simeon Hall, 16, is charged with aggravated battery stemming from an incident that had occurred on the evening of October 8 at Ward Park in Winter Park. A juvenile victim positively identified the suspect who battered him as Hall, police say. The victim suffered 'non-life threatening but significant" injuries to the head.
Hall was located that same evening at his home and placed under arrest. He was already being held under home detention at the time of this attack for his alleged role in the death of Roger Trindade. Hall is currently in custody.
"The Winter Park Police Department continues to work closely with the State Attorney’s Office in regards to this current arrest and the case involving the death of Roger Trindade," said Lt. John Montgomery with the Winter Park Police Department.
Police say Trindade, 15, was attacked in Central Park on Park Avenue in downtown Winter Park a year ago. Hall and two other were arrested in that case a couple of months later. Trindade's death was ruled a homicide.
