ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Storms rolled through Central Florida on Sunday afternoon, bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms across the region. Several homes and vehicles were damaged during these storms.
For example, video captured a downed power line on Edgewater Court causing flames to spark in front of several homes. Neighbors told Fox 35 that the storms snapped trees that have survived hurricanes.
Jean Correa said "it took them not even five minutes and they were down. Uprooted. Trees that were 100 years or more."
Orange County Fire Rescue said that there were no major injuries reported from the storms though.
The rest of the week in Orange County looks to have much less rain with warm temperatures sticking around. Download the Fox 35 Weather App to stay up to date on the latest weather in Central Florida.
