Sketch released in Valencia College East campus attack

Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office want to question the man in a composite sketch after an attempted sexual assault on the Valencia College East Campus.  

School officials the assault happened in a women's bathroom, around 8 p.m. on Tuesday night, inside Building 8.  

"Very nervous for sure, because that could happen to me, because I go to school here,” said one student.

They say an unknown man entered the women’s bathroom and tried to sexually assault the female student, they say after a brief struggle the suspect fled.
 
“It was just in the bathroom, so it’s like even in the bathroom you can’t really feel safe and so that kind of like make me feel like I can’t really be safe,” said another student.

Fortunately, the victim wasn’t injured, an alert immediately went out to students and Orange County deputies responded.

Valencia College said they’ve increased their security on campus as well as their Orange County Deputy staffing, now investigators are hoping some can identify the man in the sketch.

Deputies are asking anyone who has information about the man in the sketch to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
