ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 Orlando) - Orlando Police are looking for two suspects after an armed sex battery and carjacking. Investigators now know what one of the suspects looks like and what car they drove, but they still don’t know who or where they are.
Police released a sketch of one of the men and surveillance photos of the car. They hope these images will help find the pair that they say carjacked a couple and then sexually battered the woman at an apartment complex.
Neighbor Krystal Woelfelt woke up to the sound of officers early Monday morning.
“We weren't sure if we actually heard it, they didn't continue to knock. We thought maybe a cat knocked something over. When they knocked again at seven, they continuously knocked and said 'Orlando Police,' until we answered,” said Woelfelt.
Detectives handed out flyers in the Summerfield apartment complex where it happened, looking for anyone with information.
“They just said it was a very serious incident and they were looking for a white car.”
Police say one of the suspects drove off in a white 2011 Toyota Prius that the suspects stole. The other held the boyfriend at gunpoint while he sexually battered the woman, according to police. Neighbors are shaken with these suspects still on the loose.
“Yeah, that's a little scary, because nothing has ever happened here before. It's always been really quiet and nice.”
Police say the victims are cooperating. If you have any information about this incident, call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
