Senior celebrates 21st birthday this leap year

A Central Florida senior citizen is celebrating her 21st birthday on this Leap Day.  That's right.  For Dee Balliett, Monday isn't just any ordinary day.  "I'm 21!  I can drink in any state!" says the octogenarian.

That's right, this senior citizen is a Leap Year Baby, having been born on February 29,  a day that only comes around every four years.  "I can remember the parties at 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20.You only have a birthday every four years, so what are you going to do?  They don't have to remember any other year, they just have to remember when there's a presidential election."

We asked what it was like not to have a birthday each year, as she got older.  Did she ever feel cheated?  "No, and people ask me that. My father wanted to celebrate it on March the 1st, and I said 'No, I was born in February!' so I tried to celebrate it on both days if I could."

So how old is this vivacious birthday gal?  "You multiply 21 by 4 and that gives you 84."   She says, "leaping" a life of diet and exercise along with a positive attitude keeps her young. "If you can't get up and say good morning, morning how are you? You're in trouble."

Meanwhile she plans to celebrate with her husband and family at home.
