Semninole deputies investigate shooting of teen

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Seminole County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide that occurred this afternoon in the East Altamonte area of unincorporated Seminole County.

Investigators determined that at around 3:30 p.m., Tamar Harris, 16, of Altamonte Springs, was riding in a vehicle that was travelling north on Central St. when an armed subject standing in the roadway fired several shots in his direction.  Harris' vehicle continued to travel north on Central St. and crashed into a light pole.   Arriving deputies found Harris injured in the street next to the vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries sustained from a gunshot wound.
