Second complaint against caregiver accused of impregnating disabled woman being investigated

The Rockledge Police Department is investigating a second complaint against a group home caregiver who has already been arrested and accused of impregnating a disabled woman in his care.

Willie Fred Shorter is facing charges after Rockledge police say a mentally challenged adult female gave birth to a child while living in a group home.

A DNA sample was reportedly taken from her child and sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Crime Lab. The results showed that Shorter did in fact match the DNA profile of the victim's child. The report showed that he was 99.99 percent the father.
