SeaWorld increasing hourly pay

ORLANDO, FL (WOFL FOX 35) - SeaWorld announced on Friday that they will be increasing their hourly pay at all of its Orlando parks.

Those parks include SeaWorld Orlando, Discovery Cove, Aquatica, and SeaWorld’s waterpark.

The theme park plans to increase the hourly rate to $10/hour by July 1st.

The current hourly pay is $9.50/ hour.

SeaWorld also will increase wage rates for almost 100 other job titles. The raise will apply to both current and future employees.

However, the company hasn’t announced which positions will get the pay raise.

Increasing wages isn’t the only change SeaWorld plans on implementing.

SeaWorld Orlando wants to hire approximately 7,000 new workers this year. That would include full-time, part-time and seasonal positions.
