Search for missing 3-year-old expands beyond Florida

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- The search for 3-year-old Xander Quigley is now expanding beyond Florida.

Investigators believe the boy's mother, Natasha Quigley, and her boyfriend, Gary Bullock, Junior, who's an escaped inmate, may have crossed state lines.  They don't where, but they believe the car they are looking for is a 4-door 2010 Chevy Cobalt with Florida tag EUJ L31.

Deputies say Bullock cut off his ankle monitor Friday while at his work-release job at a resort in Daytona Beach Shores.  Bullock was on a work release program as part of his eight year sentence in 2010 for robbery and grand theft.  Deputies say Quigley is now wanted for aiding in Bullock's escape and say she also stole cash, checks, and a gun from her parent's home in Palm Coast.

FOX 35's Kelly Joyce spoke with Xander's family.
