Search for driver after road rage crash

- Amber Roach says her 58-year-old stepfather, Jefferey Brookshire, was killed in a deadly road rage crash with another driver who didn't stop.

"I'm going to miss him so much," she said.  "[I feel] really hurt and really betrayed, that they don't have a conscience. That, you killed my dad."

Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol say, around 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, Brookshire and the other driver were going east on State Road 528, near State Road 3, when they both began driving aggressively.

"These drivers engaged what witnesses say was back and forth brake checking, cutting each other off," explained FHP Lt. Kim Montes.

For the past two days, investigators have been searching for the driver of the other car -- possibly a red Dodge Charger.  Montes said it should have front-end damage and blue paint on it, from hitting Brookshire's Mustang, which flew across the median and into an SUV in the oncoming lanes.

Witnesses said Brookshire and his 26-year-old passenger, Shannon Fisher, of Orlando, were ejected, and a 911 caller left the line open while trying to help.

Fisher remains in critical condition; the two passengers in the SUV suffered minor injuries. Brookshire is dead, and his step-daughter is publicly asking the other driver to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
