ORLANDO, Fla (WOFL FOX 35) - The billion-plus dollar project to expand Orlando International Airport and make air travel more convenient will reveal new details Thursday night.
The 1.3 billion dollar expansion will do away with the long check-in counters and replace them with small kiosks. It will also add a new parking garage and train terminal.
The airport says the upgrades are needed to keep OIA up to date and to serve travelers efficiently.
On Thursday officials will hold a public meeting to update the public on the project. The meeting will be held at the U.F. Extension Center on South Conway Road, which is just north of the airport. The meeting is set to get underway at 5:30 p.m.
