A youth soccer coach in Polk County was arrested for operating a large grow house at a home in Winter Haven.

Deputies said Micah Crane, 36, was operating a professional grow house at a home on Elliot Lane which included an illegal power tap for air conditioners, grow lights, and other electrical fixtures used to grow marijuana.

Deputies found 33 pounds of processed marijuana, more than 300 marijuana plants, and more than 100 bags of cannabis in two freezers inside the home.

Deputies said the value of the stolen electricity was more than $4,600 over 90 days.

Crane is a volunteer soccer coach for the "Auburndale Scream" Youth Soccer Club. He faces several charges including grand theft of a utility, and trafficking and cultivation of cannabis. He's being held on $151,000 at the Polk County Jail.

Neighbors identified Crane as someone who frequented the home, but deputies said Crane was not living there and are hoping anyone with information about Crane's activities or addresses where he may live will come forward and contact them at 863-298-6200 or send information to tips@polksheriff.org.
