Polk County Deputy helps family after their car breaks down

POLK COUNTY, Fla. - A Polk County Sheriff's Deputy goes above and beyond to help a family in need.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Deputy Caldwell stopped for a family after their car broke down and ran out of gas. He gave them a ride to a gas station, and also bought them all cold drinks for the hot day.

"After we put gas in the car it still didn't want to start," one of the family members wrote in a Facebook message. "[The deputy] pulled around in front of us and gave us a jump - thank God the car finally started up!"

To top it off, Deputy Caldwell gave the family's 2-year-old a stuffed dinosaur.
