Police search for 2 suspects in Kissimmee home invasion

Kissimmee police detectives are asking for assistance in identifying suspects involved in a home invasion and burglary.  Officers were called to a home on Brown Street late Thursday evening where they met an 85-year-old woman who said she awoke to two men standing over her.  She explained that one of the suspects beat her and locked her in a bathroom while they burglarized her home.

The suspects took the victim's car keys and began burglarizing her car, according to police.  When a neighbor noticed the garage door open and saw the men sitting in the running vehicle, that neighbor ran home to call 911.  Authorities said the suspects fled on foot and despite help from a police K9 and an Osceola County Sheriff's Office helicopter, the suspects were not located.

One is described as a man of average build, light-skinned, approximately 5'5" tall.  He was wearing black clothing with a most or something else covering his face.  The second suspect is described as a man of average build, black or dark-skinned male, approximately 5'10" tall.  He was wearing a red hooded sweat shirt and black pants.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Kissimmee Police Department's Major Crimes Unit at 407-846-3333, or CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
