Police: Man tried to take photo up woman's skirt

Police say a Sanford man was arrested after he tried to take pictures up a woman’s skirt.

According to an arrest report, it happened at the Goodwill on E. 3rd St. Monday. The suspect, 55-year-old Harold Davis is charged with voyeurism and disorderly intoxication.

Investigators say the victim was shopping when Davis leaned down behind her with his cell phone, aiming the camera under her dress.

They say she hit him and screamed for help and he tried to get out of the store. But according to a 911 call, the victim wasn’t having it.

“He started running out the door and the girls tackled him and now there’s a huge thing outside of the store,” the caller told a dispatcher. “They have him on the ground. They stopped him but he’s fighting and they said that you all need to get here now please.”

Officers say by the time they arrived, there was a small crowd of five to seven people surrounding Davis outside the store. He was then taken into custody.

Goodwill Industries of Central Florida released this statement in response to what happened:

"At Goodwill, we continually strive to provide a safe and pleasant environment for our shoppers and donors to support our mission of job training and placement for Central Floridians in need. We are concerned by the incident that occurred in our Sanford Retail Store, and we are grateful to the police for their timely response.
