Titusville police find dog chained to stop sign

A dog was found chained to a stop sign on Friday morning, according to the Titusville Police Department.   A bottle of water was next to the dog, but there was no bowl, officers said.  He was found near the intersection of State Road 50 and Interstate 95.  "He's a very happy dog," said a police spokesperson.
"PD," a name given to the pooch by the officers, has an injured back.  He spent most of the day at the police department after getting a bath.  He was later picked up by Brevard County Animal Services and has been taken to their South Animal Care Shelter, located at 5100 W. Eau Gallie Blvd, in Melbourne.  They will place him on a five-day hold to allow time for an owner to claim him, and after that, he will be available for adoption if he is not claimed.
