Oviedo woman indicted in death of child

The Seminole County Grand Jury on Wednesday issued an indictment charging an Oviedo woman with first-degree premeditated murder and aggravated child abuse in the Nov. 10 strangulation death of her one-year-old child.

Kristen Marie DePasquale, 27, was arrested on Nov. 14 and has been held since that time at the Seminole County Jail without bond.

Assistant State Attorney Stacey Salmons presented evidence and facts provided by witnesses to the jury before they returned the indictment. The Volusia County medical examiner and an Oviedo Police Department detective also testified.
