ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35)
OUC says customers can get a better idea of when their power will be fixed starting Wednesday.
They say 145,000 customers lost power during the peak of Hurricane Irma, but they're working hard to restore that power. On Tuesday, around 50 percent, or 74,000 customers, were still without power. They say downed trees and fallen lines, as well as other damage, make it difficult to repair.
Even Orlando's Mayor Buddy Dyer says he's still out of power.
"I am one of the other 50 percent, so please know if the Mayor didn't have the ability to get his power restored some of you might not be able to simply make a call and have your power turned back on. I know it's a little challenging but we ask that you be patient."
Starting Wednesday, go to OUC.com
to see when you are expected to have your power restored to your neighborhood. The site is refreshed every 15 minutes. You can also call them at 407-423-9018.
