One person hospitalized after car catches fire in Brevard County

MERRITT ISLAND, Fla (WOFL FOX 35) - Crews are investigating a Brevard County crash that sent one person to the hospital after the car burst into flames. The incident occurred on North Courtenay Parkway at around 2:15 early Sunday morning in Merritt Island. 

Fire rescue officials say the driver hit a pole and a parked car in front of a diner and was airlifted to a nearby hospital.  No one else was hurt.
