Note prompts lockdown at West Orange HS

West Orange High School was placed on lockdown on Friday morning after school resource deputies found a note left in a boy's bathroom referencing a potential weapon on campus.

The lockdown went into effect 10:50 a.m. The assigned school officer and staff checked surveillance videos and spoke to some students that were described as "persons of interest."  The students were searched and no weapons were found on them or near the bathroom where the note was located.

The lockdown was lifted at 12:32p.m. The investigation is ongoing.
