ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - A flight out of Orlando turned into a nightmare, leaving passengers stranded for three days.
A British Airways flight to London was supposed to take off on Thursday, but got delayed because of mechanical issues. It ended up leaving on Friday, but then had to make an emergency landing in New York.
Passengers after this were not able to get a new flight until Saturday night. Some passengers were sleeping at the floor at J.F.K airport for hours. One passenger even had to spend her second birthday at the airport.
#BA2036 deplorable service. Cannot believe our children had to sleep on the floor of an airport terminal for five and a half hours whilst you advise that you are looking after us. pic.twitter.com/sPXUFnmZgX— Rosie slater watts (@SlaterRosie) November 3, 2018
British Airways has responded to the situation, saying customers were re-book when possible. Teams provided food and bedding for stranded passengers.
