New details in case of teen accused of running over OPD officer

New details in the case against a teen who is accused of running over an Orlando Police Officer.
The incident happened last summer in the tourist district. 17-year-old Edward Kelty is accused of running over Officer William Anderson during a traffic stop. Officer Anderson suffered severe injuries and has spent the last year in and out of the hospital.
The traffic stop was caught on the officer's dashboard camera, which was eventually released by the Orlando Police Department. The dramatic video shows Anderson getting out of his patrol car and approaching the driver's side window of the vehicle. As the officer moved around to the front of the car, the driver hit the gas pedal, striking Anderson and knocking him to the ground.
The 12 pages of documents released Wednesday night include interviews with suspects and witnesses. The documents say Kelty denied being the driver of the car.
Kelty is charged with second degree attempted murder. His trial is scheduled for September 19th.
