New app designed to increase school security

ORLANDO, Fla (FOX 35 WOFL) - There is a new app designed to increase school security. 

It's called Fortify Florida and it should be ready at schools across the state in the next couple weeks. The app will allow people to anonymously report suspicious activity at Florida schools.

State legislators set aside $400,000 to develop the app following the Parkland school shooting that left 17 people dead.
