New adventure park coming to Lake Nona

Looking for a new adventure?  Soon enough, you’ll be able to climb a 60-foot tower, the first of its kind in the Southeast.  It’s coming to what will be Nona Adventure Park in summer 2018.

“It’ll be three times as big as what you see right here, right now.  It’s a ropes course but also will have climbing walls on it, also a kids course on the bottom,” said Kai Fusser, owner and creator of Nona Adventure Park.

If high-flying action isn’t for you, Fusser says Lake Nona Adventure will also house Florida’s first inflatable water park.

“Think of a big inflatable playground, but it’s on top of water. You can climb up, slide down, jump down, go through different obstacles. You try to go through fast, you might fall in the after, you will fall in the water,” said Fusser.

Nona Adventure Park will also be home to a cable park for water skiing and wakeboarding.  They’ll have two cable courses -- one for beginners and one for those more comfortable with shredding.  Theirs will be the first ever solar powered cable pull in the world.

Fusser has been building parks with these components around the globe.  Now, he’s ready to build one near his home in Lake Nona.

“I think this is probably the best place I’ve e ever seen. It’s growing really fast.  Health and sports is really the mantra for the Lake Nona area," he said.

Fusser added that Nona Adventure Park is designed for a multigenerational family experience, 3-year olds to grandparents.

“Everybody will have fun. No one will be bored,” said Fusser.

The property will have a pro shop along with a café where Fusser says you can enjoy a nice sunset.  They’re trying to be as green as possible so guests arriving on skateboards, bikes or on foot will get a discount.

Fusser plans to break ground in January.
