MARION COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The Marion County Sheriff's Office collected more than 800 pounds of unused prescription drugs on Saturday.
Deputies asked citizens to drop off unused prescription drugs at various locations throughout the county. In just 4 hours, they collected 862 pounds of drugs.
It was all a part of a national movement by the Drug Enforcement Administration. They're trying to make sure the prescriptions are properly disposed, and that they don't fall into the wrong hands
