Man rescued from Lake Eola fountain

A man was rescued from the Lake Eola fountain early Friday morning, according to police.

Orlando police responded to Lake Eola Park after reports of someone either in the lake or on the fountain screaming.

The Orlando Fire Department responded with OPD and assisted in rescuing the man off the fountain.

It was determined that he took a swan boat out to the fountain and it floated away while he was on the fountain.

The man was transported to the hospital for an evaluation.
