ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - A man is in the hospital after an overnight shooting at an Orlando sports bar.
Investigators are at the Happy Place Sports Bar this Monday morning, as the Orange County Sheriff's Office says that a shooting happened in their parking lot. They got the call just after 1 a.m. Monday morning.
Upon arrival, deputies found a 55-year-old man who had been shot. According to deputies, the man got caught up in a confrontation between a security guard and another person. Right now, police just say that person is "unknown."
At this point, deputies say they still need to figure out a number of circumstances surrounding he shooting. The top of the list for them is who fired the gun and why.
The shooting victim was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center. Given the most recent update, he is in stable condition.
This is the second shooting outside of the Happy Place Sports Bar in just two months. Back in July, five people, including a security guard, were shot. One of them died and one person was eventually arrested.
