A man was killed in a car crash after colliding with a cow in a crash that involved two other cows and two other vehicles.
Florida Highway Patrol says three cows had gotten out of a fenced-in enclosure and somehow made their way into the middle of the road.
Troopers say a vehicle driving on State Road 40 hit one of the cows, causing him to go into the other travel lanes. According to FHP, 61-year-old Lawrence Allegro was driving east on State Road 40 when he also hit and cow. The collision from the first vehicle caused the driver to veer into the path of Allegro, hitting him head on.
Moments later, troopers say, a semi truck also drove through the area, hitting the third cow.
All three cows were killed.
No word on if any charges will be filed.
