A man was arrested after he broke into his ex-girlfriend's house and held the people inside at gunpoint, according to Melbourne Police.
Officers say Zachary Cheek. 26, showed up at a home on Indian River Drive Saturday night and threatened one of the people inside with a loaded gun.
He fled the house but was located in the area on foot. Police recovered the gun as well.
This was not a random act. Cheek knew the occupants inside the house and went there specifically to commit these crimes.
He's now charged with armed occupied burglary and aggravated assault with a firearm.
