Man attempts to kidnap five-year-old playing in yard

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - A man in Orange County attempted to lure and entice a five-year-old into getting into his vehicle on Thursday morning. 

The Orange County Sheriff's Office says that on Thursday at 10:45 a.m., deputies responded to Journal Avenue in reference to an Attempted Kidnapping of a five-year-old child. Further investigation revealed that it was an Attempted Luring and Enticing of a five-year-old child. 

They say that the 5-year-old victim was playing in front of the house with other siblings when the suspect, who was driving an older model dark Chevy pickup truck, stopped in front of the residence and called out to the victim to come get into his vehicle.

A woman across the street reportedly saw what was happening and yelled at the suspect. He is said to have then left the area in an unknown direction.
