Man arrested for Sexual Battery with Force
OCALA, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Ocala Police Department arrested a man for Sexual Battery with Force in Ocala.
Police say that on January 11th, at approximately 3:30 a.m., an officer was alerted by a Marion County Sheriff's Office deputy that a female was seen running towards his patrol car across S. Pine Avenue from the direction of the Shamrock Motel, wearing only black leggings and one boot. She was covering herself with a blue tarp, crying, and seemed disorientated.
The officer went on to say that the woman advised that she had been raped in the bed of a truck by a man named Alexander, whom she met at a nearby billiards location.
The officers say that the woman had abrasions on her body and stated that Alexander grabbed her by the throat and threatened her life.
Investigators who responded to the Shamrock Motel said that they came in contact with a male identified by his FL driver's license as 47-year-old Alexander Harvey. They asked what happened with the woman and Harvey advised that he met her at Downtown Billiards, they left together, and he took her home.
Investigators say they continue to speak with Harvey. They asked him what happened in the vehicle, Harvey replied that he did not know how to answer that question and that he would not talk about what occurred until he know what she stated to police.
Harvey was arrested and charged with Sexual Battery with Force.
