Lightning strikes Southwest flight heading to Orlando, aircraft forced to land

- Lightning struck a Southwest flight headed to Orlando, forcing the aircraft to land, confirms Southwest Airlines.

An official with Southwest Airlines confirmed that Flight 2515 from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, traveling to Orlando International Airport, experienced a lightning strike after departure. The plane was able to land safely at Bradley International Airport. 

Southwest Airlines says that the aircraft is now out of service for a maintenance review. 

All 135 passengers and the crew of five will reportedly be re-accommodated on another aircraft to Orlando about four hours behind schedule.
