Library in Palm Bay vandalized with spray praint
PALM BAY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Authorities in Brevard County are investigating after a library branch was vandalized.
Staff at a county public library on Port Malabar Blvd. in Palm Bay discovered the phrase "#black lives matter" spray-painted in black across the front wall at 8:15 Tuesday morning. The phrase ends with a painted smiley face and a tongue sticking out.
A Brevard County spokesperson says taxpayers will pick up the tab for the cost to paint over the graffiti, which a public works employee had covered up within a few hours of it's discovery.
Staff reported it to police who are investigating, but have no leads.
