Let it snow: Florida's first snow park proposed in Pasco County

It could be snowing in Dade City by 2019.

Pasco County and Point Summit Inc. are working out plans to open Florida’s first snow-themed amusement park. The proposed park is still in the planning stages, but the snow amusement park would open seasonally to offer snow tubing, and a few other snow-themed activities.

Point Summit Inc. owns "Tree Hoppers Aerial Adventure Park" on St. Joe Road in Dade City, and the snow park could be built adjacent to it.

Similar parks exist in states like Georgia and California. Before building can start, the plans must be approved by the county.

It would not only be a seasonal attraction, but it would also create seasonal jobs for the Bay Area as well.
