In May of this year, Lake County Sheriff Deputies joined a multi-county operation led by the Drug Enforcement Agency, or DEA, in efforts to clean up Central Florida streets.

The operation focused on Charlie Wayne Harrison Jr., who authorities say, was running a large drug operation out Lake and Marion counties.

In July, Florida officials executed six search warrants throughout the state, two in Lake County. The searches led detectives to a storage unit filled with over $1 million cash, a luxury vehicle, nearly 3.5 kilos of heroin, 6.5 kilos of crystal meth and 18 firearms were confiscated.

The operation not only led investigators to the storage unit, but it led to the arrests of Charlie Wayne Harrison Jr., Georgiana Arnenakis, Chris Valsechi and Trini Thomas Jr.

This is an ongoing investigation and more arrests are expected, authorities said.
