Human remains found near Florida Turnpike in Ocoee

Human remains were discovered off the Florida Turnpike Friday morning.

Ocoee police think it's a homeless person.

The human remains were found out past a fence near the Florida Turnpike by the 429.

Police say, a surveying crew was working in the area, when they made the discovery at around 10:30 a.m.

Officers believe the person was possibly a homeless man.

They say there's no evidence of foul play.

Det. David Gray, of Ocoee Police, says, "We confirmed they are human remains. At first glance they appear to be an older male, possibly [a] transient due to the area that they're located in right now no identification."

The remains were taken to the medical examiner.
