Human remains found but identity remains unknown
ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The father of a missing woman says her remains have been found.
Deputies discovered them off Ft. Christmas Road last month. However, they have not released any updates about the identity of the remains.
Tia Bonte was last seen on July 31st of last year, leaving the Days Inn off Colonial Drive.
While deputies have not commented on her remains, Tia’s father Kevin Bonta says Orange County deputies told him today. "We know for a fact dental records, perfect match. If anybody knows what happened, now we’re into the next phase. We found her, but yet we want to know what happened to her. I’m numb right now to it. I have emotions but they’ve been waivering'
It’s a sad day, but it’s a good day that we found her. This was important. Everyone’s been praying we want to thank the community for that.
Deputies say this is an open investigation.
