Hotel worker arrested, charged with theft
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - An Orlando-area hotel worker has been arrested on a charge of grand theft.
Ricardo Valladares, 43, was caught rifling through the purse of a hotel guest at the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace, according to police. The hotel is near Walt Disney World Resort property.
Valladares was arrested immediately and went before a judge Monday. The report says when the victim asked Valladares what he was doing, his response was that he was looking for black mold on the ceiling. Then, the report states Valladares pushed the victim out of his way as he left the hotel room.
Valladares is also charged with burglary of a dwelling with assault or battery.
