Hot air balloon makes emergency landing on I-4 Friday

- Troopers are on scene of hot air balloon that landed on the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from Champions Gate, in Osceola County.

The balloon with 20 occupants made an emergency at 8:15 am. No one was injured and no crashes occurred when the balloon landed.

The operator, 55 year old Patrick Schmitt, told troopers he made an emergency landing after the balloon was blown off course, due to high winds.

The FAA is on scene and is investigating.  The onramp remains open to drivers.
